I bought this for a stew and then forgot I had it when things got crazy around the pandemic. I was so happy to find it when I was foraging in the freezer because it meant the house would be filled with the aroma of a comforting stew as it slow-cooked for hours and hours. The recipe called for the meat to be cooked in 1/4 C wine vinegar, 1C red wine and 3 C stock for an hour and a half before adding the vegetables. Gerrie and I agreed it was the best beef stew we had ever tasted. Thank you, Pam.
