Give us a call, send us an email or come by and see us! And as always, all of our food is certified organic and produced right here!!
We are gearing up for the new season! Our new seeds are arriving and our baby layer chicks are growing!
We are also accepting 2017 CSA contracts. There are many ways that you can make a difference in your community. One way is to buy your food from your local organic farm. Our farm supports over 30 local business through farm purchases, support services, etc. All of our food is produced right here, so the carbon footprint is small. And the bonus: you eat the freshest, healthiest food available!!
A few months ago I was asked to serve on a new Farmland Protection Committee in Albany. We will begin meeting in the next couple of weeks. The other committee members are pretty impressive, so I am really excited about helping to make a difference in protecting our farms! This coincides with one of the main mission statements of our farm: to act as stewards of the land and to produce food in a sustainable manner so that this land that Eight Mile Creek Farm sits on will remain a farm, producing food for generations to come!
Please join us in helping agriculture and our community thrive by becoming members of our CSA or by purchasing some (or all) of your food from us!
New this year: A chance to “Own” your very own cow!! For all of you who have secretly wanted to farm but don’t have the time or space. Or if you want to teach your kids about what goes into meat or milk production! Purchase a beef cow for $2000 and you will receive 200 lbs of meat from that cow! This includes all of the different cuts of beef! You can name your cow and we will send you pictures and updates on how it is doing!
